What things will our statistical engine keep track of? Remember, the more statistics that we keep track of opens up the door to many new accommplishments.

Player Stats:
  • Money
  • Level
  • Experience Points
  • Health
  • Armour
  • Base Damage
  • Preferred Weapon


Game Progress:
  • Progress
  • Achievements Completed
  • Objectives Completed
  • Time Played


Other Stats:
  • Accuracy
  • Bonus Items Found
  • Shots Fired
  • Kills
  • Money Spent
  • Head Shots
  • Longest Killing Streak
  • Current Killing Streak
  • Explosives Used
  • Stealth Kills

How about game progress? Based on the storyline, when some important stuff happens, we can increase the variable.

^Yes game progress is a must. What's shops visited? There aren't any shops, that woudn't really make sense, its a research and cloning facility not a marketplace! You buy stuff from an employee there on the down low. I had a great story idea regarding that character btw, but I can never catch Legion...

In our game we will keep track of different stats. Here we are collecting ideas for the stats we could keep track of in the game.

We need to though save the information into a .ini file and use good encryption.

If i'm correct, this is a shooter type of game right? If so, why would you need experience points, and levels? If it's for upgrading guns that wouldn't make much sense, you usually would just pay someone to do this.

Levels would limit the number of weapons player can use, so that they have some requirements.

oh so like when you level up its more accuracy and you wont be able to shoot a kind of gun unless you can aim? i see where we could go with this...
